Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Abdelwahed Yahmadi's clinic at The Pearl International Hospital, Doha (the "Clinic") collects, uses, retains and protects personal information submitted via the website at dryahmadi.pages.dev. This policy is drafted to comply with Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL), Law No. 13 of 2016.

1. Data we collect

Through the booking form on the homepage we collect: first name, last name, phone number, email address (optional), reason for visit (selected option), and any free-text notes you choose to provide. We also store a single language preference ("en" or "ar") in your browser's local storage. We do not use tracking cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party analytics.

2. How we use your data

Submitted form data is sent to the Clinic's WhatsApp Business line via the wa.me redirect mechanism for the sole purpose of scheduling a medical consultation. Your data is not used for marketing, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose beyond appointment scheduling.

3. Third-party processors

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the static website and serves traffic from the global edge. Cloudflare may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, request URL) for operational and security purposes.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp Business) — receives the booking message you submit. Once the message reaches WhatsApp, it is governed by Meta's privacy practices and the encryption guarantees of the WhatsApp protocol. WhatsApp processing occurs outside Qatar.
• Google Fonts — serves the typography. Requests to Google's font CDN may include your IP address and the standard request headers.

By submitting the booking form you explicitly consent to the international transfer of your data to Meta Platforms (United States) for the limited purpose of message delivery, in accordance with Article 17 of the PDPPL.

4. Retention

• Booking-form submissions: 90 days after the consultation is completed or declined, then deleted from the WhatsApp inbox.
• Cloudflare access logs: 30 days (Cloudflare default).
• Browser language preference: stored locally on your device until you clear your browser storage.

5. Your rights under PDPPL

Under the Qatar Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13/2016) you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Object to processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email info@tpihospital.com with the subject "Data Subject Request — Dr. Yahmadi". We respond within 30 days for access, correction and deletion requests, and within 15 days for objections to processing.

6. Security

The website is delivered over HTTPS with TLS 1.3. Form submissions never touch a server we control: data is passed directly into the WhatsApp client, which uses end-to-end encryption between you and the Clinic. We do not maintain a database of submissions.

7. Children

The Clinic does not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a minor has submitted information, please email us and we will remove the record.

8. Breach response

In the event of a personal data breach, we follow the PDPPL timeline: we will notify the Qatar data protection authority within 72 hours of discovery and notify affected individuals without undue delay if the breach poses a high risk to their rights.

9. Changes to this policy

Updates to this Privacy Policy are reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
